Further Information:
The embassy has jurisdiction over the following areas:

Bahamas, Bermuda, Delaware, District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

If you are not resident in one of these areas, you must make your application to an alternative Indian Mission.

Consulate General of India, NY: Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virgin Islands.

Consulate General of India, Chicago: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin.

Consulate General of India, San Francisco: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming.

Consulate General of India, Houston: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas.


Application forms must be fully completed and signed, and presented with

1. Passport, valid for a minimum of six months
2. Two photographs
3. Non US passport holders should submit proof of long-term stay (at least three years) or permanent residence (copy of green card) in the United States
4. Non US residents must fill out the Clearance Form
